Need help: how do I create Windows Server 2016 client backup?

Hi Guys, I was thinking of using Win Server Essentials Edition in a small business, which software would you recommend for backing up clients (and server) in a domain environment (in replacement of windows server 2016 essentials backup)? It will be better if that software can create a scheduled cleanup task for client computer backup. Thanks, anyway!

Professional Client Backup Software

In an enterprise environment with multiple endpoints, performing Windows Server 2016 client backup can greatly reduce operating time, avoid human error and save overhead costs, not to mention the scheduled client backup.

Windows Server Essential Dashboard does come with a feature called "Client computer backup tasks" to help you create client computer backups, but the process is quite complicated. Therefore, some users may want an easier alternative with equally powerful functions.

Windows Server client backup software - AOMEI Cyber Backup

AOMEI Cyber Backup is a professional client backup software to help you backup all the endpoints from Windows Server 2020/2019/2016/2012/2008. In addition, client computers running Windows 11/10/8/7/XP are also supported. That is, not only Windows Server 2016, you can use it to create Windows Server 2012 client backup, Windows Server 2008 client backup, etc.

You just need to install ACB on the server computer as the management console, and install the client program on all the computers you want to manage. Then, you can request control over them, and create centralized task as you like, e.g. System Backup, Disk Backup, Partition Backup, File Backup, SQL Server Backup or Virtual Machine Backup.

Also, it contains the automated backup cleanup feature as requested in the case - you can create a scheme to auto delete old backups and therefore save storage space.

Tip: If you choose other backup tasks, you will also need to specify the source data. Normally, you can either choose to select items on each client manually, or create a universal rule to be applied to all clients.

3. Then, set up backup settings, schedule backup or backup retention policy.

Backup Schedule: You can backup once or per day/weekly/monthly automatically. Full backup, incremental backup and differential backup are also optional in Advanced tab.

Backup Cleanup: You can delete old backups with specific rule.
