How do I get files off my Olympus voice recorder after deletion?

I am using an Olympus Ds-5000 digital voice recorder, which stores.DS2 audio files. I was listening to a critical file that was about one hour long. However, I accidentally recorded the whole second half of the file. I am hoping Olympus kept the temporary version of the original file. I am sure the Olympus voice recorder must have done something to overwrite parts of the digital voice recording file. My question is: Is there any freeware/open source to recover all the files?
