• Poor network condition. A weak or problematic network can make your mail app fail to connect to email server, so that you can’t move message to Trash on iPad. • Mail app system or account issue. There might be something wrong with mail app system or the account, which makes mail app doesn’t respond to your deletion action. • An incorrect IMAP path. IMAP may be set up incorrectly within the settings of your iPad or iPhone. • Some other unknown reasons.
