Now, start to backup your files. I’ll take free backup and restore software AOMEI Backupper Standard as an example and show you the detailed steps for file backup. It’s convenient and easy to operate.
Note: If your computer is bootable, you can create a files backup directly. If not, you can create a bootable media on a running computer with the same hardware to your computer and boot from it. And this software is preinstalled in the media and you can see it after you boot the computer in trouble.
Step 1. Download file backup software, install and launch it.
Step 2. Click Backup and File Backup in order.
Step 3. Click Add File or Add Folder to select the files you want to backup.
Step 4. Choose a destination location for your backup. You can backup files to external hard drive, cloud drive, USB flash drive, etc.
Step 5. Click Start Backup to run the pending operation.
With this freeware, you can do more than expected if your computer is bootable. It allows you to backup files with a certain file extension automatically, backup files at daily, weekly, monthly, backup files with a compression level, etc.
If you create a backup regularly, you must be surprised by the disk space your backup occupied. As time goes by, you get low disk space warning message. To avoid this situation, you can enable disk management and delete files when backup disk full.

If you change the size of system drive or reinstall the computer, Lenovo OneKey Recovery will not work. Besides, the driver failed to initialize, Lenovo service partition has been destroyed, current system cannot support back up, etc, can also lead to OneKey Recovery failure.
In this situation, you can try AOMEI OneKey Recovery Professional. It does not cause you any trouble.
Step 1. Boot your computer and press the ThinkVantage button or F12 key during the booting process.
Step 2. In the Boot Menu screen, select the ATAPI CD option and hit Enter.

This software can only be used on Windows 7 Lenovo Think series. If not, you cannot use it.
System restore can restore your computer to an earlier date if your computer runs into small errors. f your system crash or hard drive corrupted, you cannot use it.
To access safe mode, there are two ways. If your computer is bootable, you can follow the steps below. If not, you can go to safe mode or boot your computer with installation disc and then open system restore.
Step 1. Directly type System Restore in the search box, then select it.
Step 2. In this window, you need to make sure if the system restore point is working properly at that time. If yes, click Next. If not, tick Choose a different restore point.

If not, you can try to clean install Windows 7 with an installation disc and then use AOMEI Backupper or AOMEI OneKey Recovery to create a system backup for your computer.
