What is a minor upgrade and a major upgrade?
A minor release changed in the digit to the right of the second decimal point (e.g.,
AOMEI
Backupper Pro Edition v5.7.1 >> AOMEI Backupper Pro Edition v5.7.2) are free, and
you
just
need
to download the latest version and use the license code you received to register the
program.
A major release changed in the digit to the left of the first decimal point and/or
the
right
of
the first decimal point (e.g., AOMEI Backupper Pro Edition v5.5 >> AOMEI Backupper
Pro
Edition
v5.6 or AOMEI Backupper Pro Edition v5.7 >> AOMEI Backupper Pro Edition v5.8) can
be
free or
paid depending on whether you have purchased "Lifetime Upgrades" or not.
How can I pay a price difference to upgrade?
For customers who have AOMEI Backupper lifetime, current, or a limited time (3
months or
1
year) license code, we offer you an exclusively big discount unavailable elsewhere,
plus
a
small amount of upgrade fee to upgrade to more advanced editions. You just need to
input
your license code at the beginning of this web page, pick the edition you need and
check
out
to pay the price difference as shown on the web page and in the shopping cart.
For customers with AOMEI Backupper yearly license code, since your current
subscription
is
dynamically consumed everyday, your price difference to upgrade to an advanced
edition
will
be automatically and dynamically calculated too. All the valid subscription time you
left
will be counted as cash when you upgrade and your new subscription period will be
reset
to
the day you upgrade.
Is my upgrade a one time payment or automatic renewal?
When you upgrade to a lifetime plan, your upgrade is a one time payment, and you can get all latest versions at no cost in the future. When you upgrade to a yearly plan or AOMEI Cloud service, it’s automatically renewed and you can get all latest versions for free during your subscription. Moreover, you can cancel your subscription any time if you find you don’t need it.
How can I buy the cloud storage separately if I already have a license code?
If you have a lifetime license code, you can directly buy your accordant edition of
AOMEI
cloud storage at a discounted price with automatic renewal.
If you have yearly license code, you can upgrade to any yearly edition with cloud
storage,
and the price difference will be automatically calculated and your subscription
period
will
be renewed to the day of upgrade.
For users with current or limited time license code, you need to first upgrade to a
lifetime
license (for users of current versions) or yearly license (for users of limited time
versions) before buying cloud storage separately, and we offer surprisingly huge
discount
for all upgrade users.
Is there a tax when I upgrade?
Yes. Since your upgrade order is a separate order from your previous one, a VAT will be applied according to your local tax law and collected by our eCommerce service provider. For those who enjoy the privilege of VAT Exemption, you can remove the tax by entering your VAT Exemption ID in the shopping cart if you find tax in the order.
