Brief Introduction to Backup Password:

This Backup Password feature is a part of AOMEI FoneBackup's iOS data privacy protection, similar to setting a backup password in iTunes. You are required to set a backup password to encrypt AOMEI FoneBackup's access to perform backup, restore, or erase some of the more sensitive data on your iPhone, also ensures that when using the privacy erase function, the unselected data remains intact on your phone. Importance of Enabling Encryption on AOMEI FoneBackup:

Implementing backup encryption as a privacy safeguard for iOS is employed in numerous scenarios that require accessing your iOS privacy data. For instance, when performing a complete backup, if you set a backup password for encryption, AOMEI FoneBackup supports additional backup of privacy data such as "Fitness Records," "Health," and "Keychain." You can choose to encrypt or not encrypt the backup based on their specific requirements.  Also, when using the Data Erase feature of AOMEI FoneBackup and selecting the data to be erased, it is necessary to first protect the other unselected data in the phone by performing an encrypted backup. Verifying Backup Password:

Forgot the Backup Password You've Set?

AOMEI FoneBackup currently does not support modifying the backup password once it has been set. Once encrypted, the backup password will be securely stored in your iPhone's system files and cannot be viewed directly. If you forget the backup password you set during the initial configuration, the only solution is to go to your iPhone's settings and follow this path: General > Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset, then select "Reset All Settings" to clear the password, and then return to AOMEI FoneBackup to set a new password.
