Beside Lenovo Product Recovery in recovery mode, Lenovo still offer you a recovery software depending on the series of Lenovo computer and its operating system. In Windows 7, Lenovo OneKey Recovery software will be preinstalled if your computer is Idea series while Lenovo ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery will be preinstalled on a Think series Lenovo computer.

Part 1: Lenovo OneKey Recovery – workaround for “Lenovo stuck in recovery mode”

To restore your computer to a good state, you need to go and find the Novo button at first. It’s usually at the upper left corner of the Power button. Then, see below and learn the detailed steps.

Step 1. Press the Novo button for a few seconds and select System Recovery in the Novo Button Menu.

Step 2. Select “Restore from initial backup”.

Step 3. Click Start and wait until the process is finished. Then, follow the instructions on the screen to configure the settings.

Step 1. Boot your computer and press the ThinkVantage button or F12 key during the booting process.

Step 3. Type Yes and insert the Product Recovery discs one by one according to the prompt.

Step 4. Wait until the software loads and click Continue.

Step 5. Click Full Restore and then click Continue at the warning message.

Way 2: Using system restore point

To access safe mode, there are two ways. If your computer is bootable, you can follow the steps below. If not, you can go to safe mode or boot your computer with installation disc and then open system restore.

Step 1. Directly type System Restore in the search box, then select it.

Step 2. In this window, you need to make sure if the system restore point is working properly at that time. If yes, click Next. If not, tick Choose a different restore point.

Step 3. Confirm the settings are correct and click Finish to start the restore process.
