Selecting Backup Files Manually for Restore

If your backup tasks are accidentally deleted, or you need to restore backups created on another computer, you will need to select backup files manually to restore. In this article we will introduce how to manually select backup files in AOMEI Cyber Backup.

Restore from local path

1. If your backup exists in a local path, select "Restore"-->"New Restore"-->"Restore from local path".

2. Click "Select" to choose the backup files in the local path.

3. Choose the backup you want to restore.

4. Click "Start Restore" to begin the restore process.

Restore from NAS/network share

1. If your backup exists in a network path, select "Restore"-->"New Restore"-->"Restore from NAS/network share".

2. Click "​​​​​​​Select" to choose the backup files in the network path.

3. Choose the backup you want to restore.

Note: The NAS\network share path needs to be the path before the "AOMEI Cyber Backup" directory. For example, if you are storing your backups in "\\192.168.3.10\Share\AOMEI Cyber Backup", then the NAS\network share path here needs to be "\\192.168.3.10\Share".

4. Click "​​​​​​​Start Restore" to begin the restore process.
